“M83. Star clusters and field stellar populations. How we can link stellar populations with their parent galaxy.”

Esteban Silva Lillo

Universidad de Antioquia

In this seminar I will talk about the relations between the field stars and star cluster populations (focused on the galaxy M83), and how these two systems correlate with their parent environment. We will also touch the recent (and very controversial) subject of multiple population in Globular
clusters and their possible formation scenarios. And at the end of my presentation, I will make a quick review on the different research subjects that are being studied at my Institute.
